Ask the Doctor

Q:          WHY DO PEOPLE NEED TO TAKE SUPPLEMENTS.
A:          Many times I’m asked why do I have to take supplements. Don’t I get everything I
need from my diet. And if I have to take supplements, would it be possible to take only
one pill that’s going to do it all! Well, the answers are very simple to understand if we
pay attention to a very few things. The food that we consume should have all the
supplements that we need, provided the plants and the animals were raised in a very
healthy manner. But unfortunately, that doesn't happen anymore. Because agricultural
methods are so intensive nowadays, we don’t give plants the time to absorb everything
they need from the ground. Not only that, but have we ever put the land to rest for a year
or so. We never do that. So what is happens, is, after so many years of planning and
cropping, we have lost a lot of the nutrients from the ground, so they will simply not be in
our food supply. And the same happens with chicken, animals, and many other foods.
So we have to make sure that we have in our body everything our body needs. That’s
absolutely necessary. There is no way we can get everything that we need from our food
supply. To make things worse, we normally eat what we like, not what we should. So if
you really analyze what you eat, you’re going to see that you eat very few things that are
nutritionally good for you. Now a variety of foods provide a variety of nutrients. But not as
many as you need because of the lack of minerals etc. In the soil. That’s why one tablet
doesn't make it all. We need minerals, we need vitamins, we need essential fatty acids,
we need all these things. So we have to supplement in, because that’s the way we can
make our food supply really complete. So pay attention to that, read about it and do it.

Q:
EXPLAIN HOW PEOPLE SHOULD INTERPRET AND RESPOND TO SYMPTOMS.
A:          Okay. People wonder many times if symptoms are telling you something on how
to avoid future problems. And, yes, symptoms are telling you a story. Symptoms are
telling you that something in your body is failing. So if you feel short of breath, if you
cannot sleep well, if your energy’s going down, if you have any sort of symptom that you
notice that’s abnormal to you, foreign to you, that’s a sign that you have to pay a lot of
attention to. Because that’s just telling you that something is not working well. It’s just
like going in your car and seeing a light coming up or feeling something happening.
Well, that’s time to take preventive measures. If you do that, you might be well avoiding
costly medical bills and a lot of suffering. So this is the time to start wondering what can
be wrong. What am I doing wrong? And then it’s time to analyze your diet, your
supplements and everything you’re doing. And then is the time to look for help, read
about that symptom, get information. That information is going to lead you to a program
that is going to bring you back to health and then you’re going to continue to have all
these wonderful times that you’re having at the present time. But it’s very important that
we listen to those symptoms, because they’re telling us something is going to happen.
And in this case, one ounce of prevention can be worth a ton of treatment. Because at
this point you’re going to be able to do it nicely, cheaply and without going through any
suffering whatsoever. So please, please, I urge you to listen to the symptom, read about
them, and get information that you need so you can get in good shape before anything
happens. Not only that, you’re going to live longer. You’re going to live happier if you
really start making those corrections as they develop in life.
